Nice little 60/40 Syrah/Gamay blend from up around Crozes-Hermitage. Gamay definitely showing more upfront with its stemmy bubblegum flavors. Detecting a bit of the darker fruit from the Syrah but not much. Interesting bottle but unremarkable- I’d rather just go full on Gamay or Syrah and pair accordingly.

Dec 2nd, 2017Interesting blend 60% Syrah 40% gamay. Cool wine with lots of texture. Leather and savory notes like black pepper and spices. Balanced tannin and acid. I like a lil more fruit in my wine personally but this is well crafted and excellent.

Light and flavorful up front. Interesting nose of candy- peanut brittle and sour patch. Strange. Weak finish.
