Marey-Monge before it went to DRC (1962). Extraordinary: ripe, plummy, rich, fat, imperial; all the body and richness you want, even after 50 years

Very settled and resolved nose. Soft on the palate with settled wood, some lovely gentle red fruit, a hint of mushroom. Lovely complexity and everything very in place. This was made by DRC from a plot that is now part of their holdings.
