Looking at the color I expected it to be oxidized and well past its peak, but not so. It felt like it was over the hill on the nose but it had amazing structure and volume. Thick lemon curd with some honey and roasted almonds. Very impressed.

Bright lemony yellow. Fresh lively nose. Mirabelle, blossoms, herbs, fresh hazelnuts, sweet spices. Fresh and crisp, full body, creamy. Citrus, herbacious. Great long crisp and creamy aftertaste.

2008. This was delicious. Initially very restrained, saline, but as it opened up had elegant fruit, butter, elegant richness.
