Gorgeously red fruited and boisterous nose. Red cherries all the way. Stunning stony aromas as well and unreal lift. Lots of red cherry skin as well. Terrific energy and chord progression fruit as well. Juicy, complex and very energetic and appears wide open at first but let’s see where air takes it. Wondeful acidify and freshness and lovely sour cherry fruit. Really fine and velvety tannins and I can’t believe how red fruited it is. Sweet and ripe tannins. Terrific inner mouth aromas with air and insane sweetness. A winner! Now with 7 hours of air it’s so stoney and classically Pommard. Palate is ample and juicy and super mineral with tangy red fruits. But man is this mineral. Like licking stones.

Sep 5th, 2025Drinking so well now. Nose is mid season cherry and ripe. Some lovely earthy notes and cola notes. Spice and underbrush as well. Palate is concentrated, juicy and teeming with energy but also has great opulence and finishes super mineral. Engaging wine and superb stony finish.

Mar 24th, 2024Deep, rich and ripe nose of loads of stones, black cherry, dark roses, violets, earth, bittersweet cocoa, and that classic Pommard stoniness. Ultra deep. Almost like a compote on the nose. Palate is dark, juicy, sleek and slippery. Super concentrated but never heavy. Terrific, delicious fruit that is backed up by superb stoniness. Exceptional purity and wonderful freshness and balance. This is a brooding bottle of wine that really balances power, ripeness and grace. This needs some air and i’ll be back but truly a phenomenal wine.
