There were others on the table that fancied this, but it wasn't my favourite. I just found the wood on the nose too distracting, and it seemed to have the least clarity of the lot. Having said, it's still a wine I would drink over a typical Rioja or Bordeaux say. The palate's quite elegant with a mix of red and black berries plus earthy elements, though all a touch blurred. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and tangy acids. Medium finish. Oddly, there was little to no minerality, which this vineyard's supposedly known for. Could be in a dumb phase of cellaring.

Very complex. Red fruits and beautiful spices. Approachable now.
