After riding some rental bikes up to Corton and posing for a picture at Corton-Charlamagne, my girl and I deserved a bottle from this vineyard. This producer, who is new to me, was recommended by the wine buyer at Alain-Hess. This is the biggest, wildest, dark fruited powerhouse we have had- a blood making Burgundy for sure! The wine had just as much cutting acidity as it had ripe fruit- it came across as nearly feral! While open knit and delicious with our leftover pasta of chanterelles, Bresse chicken and Epoises, it's best years are likely ahead.
