La Cote Vin de Pays de la Drome Red Rhone Blend

Funk, barnyard - almost bretty not sure if it is flawed, or if that’s the style. Either way not into it. 90% Syrah with 10% viognier

Drinks like Croze-Hermitage. Juicy. Peppercorn. No oak. Low-ish alcohol (12%). Funky nose that requires some patience to blow off. Really interesting wine made in an honest style

Light bodied with red berry fruit and leather.

A little too much acid and not enough Viognier

Some good stink!

A little funk on the stank foot! A very nice surprise for the $$.

Out standing. Better second night. Light.

Delicious bottle and was just great for steaks and sweet potatoes for a date night in.

Funk fest. The nose reminds me of day old BBQ chicken. The fruit remains hidden. It’s highly acidic and a touch too tannic. Maybe it needed a little more time in bottle but I can’t imagine it was made to age.

Delicious medium bodied Rhone blend. 90% Syrah 10% Viognier earthy nose with bright red fruits. Medium acid and tannin. Excellent with soft cheese and pâté.
