A perfumed nose of violets and tobacco. Nice energy on the palate thanks to the lively acid levels. Dark cherry and plums in ample quantity.

Tasted blind: thought it was a Côte Rotie. All syrah, mint, bacon. Very nice.

Leather, meaty, animal, some brett, old southern French Syrah, similar flavors with redfruits, good balance, soft tannins, long finish, really lovely Syrah!

Dec 17th, 20171998 Domaine l'Aigueliere "Cote Rousse". Still quite dark and rich, tannins are receding, long finish, very good Montpeyroux Syrah and other usual suspects.
