Deep, glass-clinging red-blackish purple in the glass. Near opaque core, especially in a drinking pour. full nose of mentholated cranberry and dark red fruits. On the palate, stewed black cranberry, graphite, a hint of burned nuts. Firm but forgiving tannins that grow more velvety with air.

Heavy, spicy red. A damp, alcoholic note. Palate doesn't quite live up to nose. Enjoyable.
