This producer has made some of the most intriguing wines I've ever had, and this one is a standard bearer of what his style is all about. Biodynamic winemaking brings out some of the funkiest aromas that wine could have. The fruit and violets are what really comes forward from under the deep earth. Every sip is different. Almost indescribable layers of complexity, leather, iron, violets, stones, blackberries, licorice, fresh earth, chocolate, orange peels. This is so far off any reference points scale that it is probably unrecognizable by many as wine. I first tasted this in 2007 when it had s different name and it altered my view of what wine was capable of. Back the it was only $16. A bottle, if you can find it at all it's going for about $30. But it will change your life.
