Always classy and dialed in

Still quite fresh, but lighter more floral aromatics are starting to emerge from beneath the dark fruit and brett.

(sourced from granite-rich soils in Crozes and Gervans): Inky ruby. Heady, mineral-laced black raspberry, cherry, licorice and olive scents, with a sexy Moroccan spice nuance emerging as the wine opens up. Juicy and expansive in the mouth, offering intense red and dark berry and floral pastille flavors that are complemented by suggestions of black cardamom and allspice. Solid crozes, very typical but with more concentration than the norm, the grapes surely are left to hang for a while. Beautiful meat olives plum and pepper nose, warm rocky minerality as well. Plush and and big medium weight on palate, oak is just spice and creamy texture, finishes olivine and spicy, a bit less acidity than preferred, but very good in price and category.

For about $20, this is pretty kickass.

What a great drink. Right amount of red fruit. Just enough funk. Beautifully made and a great price point

Paired with stuffed clams and rice. The nose is a bit reductive, followed by some stewed beets. The body is thin, with blueberry and grapefruit battling it out.

Nice full-bodied, earthy red with tobacco on the nose and olive on the palate.

It's Chave. Very well made but a little disjointed right now. Violets and bacon fat for days.
