It had been a while since I last had a good red village burgundy from the c么te beaune. It's very comforting to come back to it. It feels like home 馃榿
There is a bit of oak on the nose, along with leather, cherry, hay and a tiny touch of vanilla. The oak is not overwhelming and it's very inviting. The palate is very well made... Good acid drive, super supple mouthfeel, bright cherry note all along, good matter on the sides, subtle tannins, carressing the tongue and accompanying the finish, leaving a delicate layer of dust over a radiating cherry juice note that goes on for a good while. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Probably a tad too sweet/fruity for hardcore burgundy heads 馃榿
