This is 100% Syrah from Gilles Troullier in Roussillon. Not as complex or concentrated as his Boreal, but nevertheless, really good. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, exotic flowers, and wild game give way to a mouthful of dark fruit, mineral, and smooth tannins. This wine is reminiscent of a young Cote Rotie, just not quite as complex. Great effort here. 2016 vintage on November 16, 2018.
