Rabbit pairing. Fruit on ‘14 is so punchy. Already shows the bloody sensation of degradation, secondary character. Will never have the richness many look for, but, bright, fresh, savory, so good.

Sadly caught this after it’s gone to sleep. Previous bottles have been outstanding, so just give this a couple of years before cracking another.

Jan 18th, 2019So much promise on the nose - elegant dark fruit, earth, and sous bois. The palate doesn’t quite deliver on that promise at this early stage, but is still lovely with crunchy red raspberry fruit, a great line of acidity and good length. My bet is that with time the palate will match the nose, and justify the price of this not so basic Bourgogne.
