Domaine Génot-Boulanger
Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir
Very nice chambolle but I wouldn’t at this point say that it’s great. Decanted for 3+ hours. Nearly an equal mix of strawberry and light cherry on the nose and palate. Has a real core of minerality that carries through the wine and persists. Nice finish, but for some reason every 3rd sip I get just a *hint* of sweet oak which is not welcome. Maybe a few more years would even that out. Excellent with roast chicken and mushrooms.

Wonderful balance and tension between the red fruit, earth, and acid. Perfect with a Sunday roast chicken with mushrooms. Nice reminder of why burgundy is burgundy.
