This bottle is quite linear with citrus and citrus peel fruit with mineral reduction. Palate is similar to the nose with a lack of texture and richness. This bottle does not showcase some of the opulent qualities often found in this vintage.

Hazelnut, apple and pear aromas with a touch of oak based spice. Nose just a touch muted. Palate has fine texture with lemon peel, red apple and pear skin flavors. Quite tasty but lacking a touch of complexity in the nose and focus on the palate.

Ready to drink, just a hint of oxidation in the first pour. Develops in glass. Creme brûlée. A bit of (restrained) new oak. But still nice minerality. Finish just keeps going, creamy. Fantastic meursault.
