Darker color than the Lenoir Chinon 2005, but lacking the pristine finesse and depth of that great wine, good Anjou Cab Franc.

Dec 16th, 2024Mature dark fruits and spice, soft structure, good acidity, medium-long finish, solid Anjou Cabernet Franc!!

Jan 16th, 2024So, wasn’t paying attention and pulled this from the white wine portion of my cellar and opened it, sure it was Loire Chenin Blanc (old age, deteriorating eyesight, yadda, yadda) — of course, it poured RED (WTH??), it’s Cab Franc from Anjou, pretty solid, a bit of a green note, but pretty good nonetheless. Even idiots like me sometimes get lucky, LOL!!

Jul 9th, 2023Decent Cab Franc, lots of green notes which detract, lacks the complexity of Chinons and Bourgeils, but a decent drinker, medium-long finish.
