Late post and low rating ONLY, and a personal thing, I opened it far too young. It was in a very aggressive phase with young-swelling acidity. Despite it's wonderful aromas and lovely flavors, it needs at least another decade.

A lot of rich aromatics and complexity. Still quite vibrant and youthful. Great aging potential. Opened up after several hours to reveal more complexity and nuance. Earthy and stony characteristics with nice red fruit.

Classic and lovely. Takes a bit to open, savory herbs and earth with restrained fruit underneath.

Sliced cherries, raspberries, underripe strawberries, cloves, vanilla bean, pink peppercorns, mushrooms. Excellent rounded acid/soft wide velvet tannin balance, perfect silky texture, medium bodied, long slightly tart/smoky finish. Elegant in aromatics, texture and finish. Decanting recommended.

Sep 6th, 2016Lovely, lovely wine. Opened and was super tight, after about an hour really opened up. Started bright, tart cranberries and cherries, opened to raspberry, sweet strawberry and earthy, almost herby brambles with a hint of tar underneath. I could drink this all day.
