Domaine E.A.R.L. George
Montmains "Les Butteaux" Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Chalk, wet stone, lemon, gun powder too. Typical chablis nose, very inviting. Superb palate with a extraordinary balance : a very strong acid drive and a nice width with lemon, and a chalky, soft touch on the sides. This is very wide and shows a bit of a roundness in mid palate before a very long finish with lemon and chalk and some floral, white flower thing. This is very good chablis.

Chalk, crushed rocks, lemon, some white flowers. Rather discreet but it's pretty cold, only 30 minutes out of the fridge. The palate is wide and long with a soft velvety touch, some lemon and some chalky stuff. The finish is very long and shows some sign of tropical fruits, lemon and this chalky touch. So good. We paired it with a pumpkin risotto, a pairing made in heaven

Very mineral nose : oyster shell, chalk, crushed rocks, hay. Lemony notes after a while,. The palate is georgous and very well balanced : a strong acid backbone with tangy fruity lemon notes all around. Some grip but some roundness on the edges, a long and delicate fruity finish. This is everything I like in a chablis 1er cru. Splendid
