The 2nd of 4 Grand Crus from Morey Saint Denis. Colour of deep Ruby - darker than the Lambrays. Quite a rich palate of M+ intensity. Great mouthfeel. At this point I wrote in my notes “ getting to the point of sensory overload. Let me tell you that 2016 is a great vintage for Red Burgundy “. A wonderful Clos de la Roche”. Worth purchasing as it is always better value than the Ponsot Clos de la Roche.
