I love CDP, love it..... having said that, while this one is delicious, it is lacking some of the funkiness.... some of the odd character that for me separates ordinary cote du Rhones from CDP. I have had quite a few villages that are better and cheaper than this CDP

Tannin alcohol and acid moderate plus, color like Pinot noir with some red fruit like raspberries, a lot of black fruit. Dust, potting soil, noticeable dill. Still has years to age but noticeable prune developing on the palate
