Nice enough but holds up less well than I was hoping (last had nearly 3 years ago). Quite glossy with slight medicinal notes on the nose. Finish is pretty one note, a bit bitter, a hint of fruit, but nothing overly distinctive.

A very polished burgundy - perhaps too polished. But the fruit is quite nice and the seamlessness is no joke. Only 12.5% and that part of restraint is appreciated, but it could have more cut.

“If you build it, they will come.” (Field of Dreams; 1989.) Eric Guyard has! This is the new French pinot noir. Traditionalists will be appalled. I get it. But, with increasing temps across the vineyards of Burgundy one either adapts or slowly shrivels on the vine. This is a satisfying polished pinot with lots of cherry and spice that is best served from a 20 minute chill in the fridge. It may even deserve a year or two in the cellar. It’s a fine example of where simple Bourgogne has landed. (Really appreciate the ArdeaSeal.)
