Domaine Du Terme
Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend

There has been tremendous transformation in this wine from when I first opened it until now. At first, you get your trademark soil and black pepper, but on the front end it was way overripe. Almost approaching California levels. After a nice hour decant, it's a balanced if not at all complex Vacqueyras. Smoke and pepper, a little earth, nothing too abrasive but nothing that stands out much either. If you like new world, drink it right out of the bottle. But I suggested taking a sip every fifteen minutes to see the transformation in its full glory.
