Needs a full day to settle down in the glass. Medium acidity hanging on a strong tannic backbone. Lush.

Sep 12th, 2014What a pleasing dinner companion. I can feel the Provençal sun and breeze. Buy a case. Drank this with wild boar ragu from Bruno’s cookbook.

Nov 13th, 2023Fair bit of brett on the nose, gives it a detectable barnyardiness, but the sour twinge isn’t completely out of place on this one. The aroma is lingonberry and braising jus. Palate is huge boysenberry and blackberry with mulling spice, tart, under-ripe cherry, and gentle suggestions of pâté and thyme. It’s big, fleshy, and warm with an impressively long finish.
