Needs a full day to settle down in the glass. Medium acidity hanging on a strong tannic backbone. Lush.

Big and dark. Needs more age. With air, so complex and savory layered.

2012. Super young, fresh and tight. Opened up after a bit with lovely fruit and spice.

What a pleasing dinner companion. I can feel the Provençal sun and breeze. Buy a case. Drank this with wild boar ragu from Bruno’s cookbook.

Fair bit of brett on the nose, gives it a detectable barnyardiness, but the sour twinge isn’t completely out of place on this one. The aroma is lingonberry and braising jus. Palate is huge boysenberry and blackberry with mulling spice, tart, under-ripe cherry, and gentle suggestions of pâté and thyme. It’s big, fleshy, and warm with an impressively long finish.
