[Half bottle] — this was lovely with a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce, though I’ve never thought this 2007 from Parce reached the heights of the Banyuls we’ve had from the 1960s and 1970s from Dr. Parce (the 1967 Vieilles Vignes being my all-time favorite).

Feb 18th, 2024Half-bottle, with German chocolate cake for dessert, maybe it’s still too young, but this 2007 cuvee has always seemed a bit unbalanced and hot, this bottle is now starting to show some nice balance, I’m hoping the other bottles will start showing better balance, encouraging!!

May 24th, 2020OK, match made in heaven -- my wife's homemade chocolate pate (RICH) and 2007 Dr. Parce Banyuls "La Coume" in split -- not as memorable on the wine side as the VV bottling, but chocolate pate is great as always (raspberry sauce on top).
