La Forge de Tart Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Young vines of Clos de Tart. Nice, bright cherries, wood shavings, caramel, great florals, light on its feet. Very nice.

My first experience with this “second” label while it shows it youthful side and comes across somewhat backward during this stage the making for a great wine is there.

Drinking well. Elegant Burgundian nose with a sturdy structure

Pretty but slightly wild. Nice concentration

A more raucous version of the Grand Cru but still exceptionally elegant.

It's a little wet.

Green.

An acceptable pinot noir for the first Sunday of the year.
