Pale straw. White plum, white apricot, pear blossom, Meyer lemon, green mango, green olives, Asian pear, white flowers. Rather herbal. Pearl garlic. Was there cat pee or maybe it’s the glass… Salty salinity and stony on the palate. Zesty tangy prickly sandy acidity. Phenolic and textual. Medium finish and acidity.

Sep 10th, 2023The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered citrus, apple, pear and mineral notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed citrus, apple, pear, mineral notes and a mild spiciness, paired with medium to medium-plus acidity, high but well-integrated alcohol and a good, creamy mouthfeel. The finish was very long. A full-bodied, medium-complex, very well-balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. Drink now and over the next two years. 89

Sep 9th, 2017very gd not quite beaucastel but close at 20% price. very dry almost bitter with butter on palate then tangy middle and followthrough putting it together.
