Floral and full of olives. Utterly classic and super pure. Loads of granite and huge dark berry fruit. Aromatic and sensual. Lovely herbals as well. Almost smells like high end indica. Wow this is terrific! Huge power, depth and concentration and big, but ripe and substantial tannins. But of all the normal st. Jo’s I sell this one benefits the most from age. 3-4 years this is what one wants to be drinking. Perfect balance and outrageous freshness. Really long and showing wonderful complexity. After air this gets super duper floral and shows such startlingly pure fruit. Really young with such fine tannins. So well knit and integrated as it airs. The first sip is a bruiser then it gets all elegant and fine. Tangy as well on the finish. A great wine.

Massive palate but also so refined and elegant. Superb aromas after some air. Dark berry fruit, sweet and substantial tannins. Fresh and juicy but also big, imposing and closed. But it is all there. Not quite showing granite yet.

Nov 21st, 2020Been a while since I’ve had this one. Floral, meaty and spicey nose. Deep black fruits. Palate is deep, silky and chewy with ripe and juicy tannins. It’s very good but i find 2014 is when this wine started to take off.

Dec 4th, 2018Such a meaty inviting nose. Black fruits, forest, lavender, thyme, floral, so stunning. What a value. Such classic unfettered st. Jo. Palate has terrific energy and precision. Big structure but sappy and insane freshness and acidity. Long and young. I’d wait 3-5 years. But so killer.
