candied tropical fruits on nose, very very clear, papaya, guava, persimmon and pineapple, superb spice, smoke and sweet baking spices, great energy and freshness and super pure tropical fruits, so elegant and sappy and amazing density without weight. really tangy on the finish.

Some mandarin orange, key lime, and melon. Vanilla and lily flower too. Broad and a touch ripe though some really good minerals and interesting bitterness on the finish. Aromas exponential with time.

Broad, creamy with salted blossoms, this spreads out on the palate like a fan. Joyous. Minerals for days. Yeasty, juicy, saline and savory. Hits the spot exactly.

Bottle says “Pure Roussanne”

Big, ripe and opulent nose. Peach, melon, bursting and super ripe but not over the top. But at the edge. Gorgeously balanced and high toned. Honey, custard. Lovely. Palate is ripe, concentrated and the acid is just barely ok. Right at my personal edge. But it’s still fresh from intense minerality. Citrus, peach and minerals on the palate. Superb concentration. The mineral freshness gets more and more intense with air. Makes up for the just ok acid. Lovely stuff. Super long finish. Almost a 9.3.

Mostly Marsanne and this clocks in at a whopping 15%! Nose is rich and ripe. Very pure. Fascinating Marsanne minerality. Buttery but high end French buttery. Smells big. Palate is quite elegant and shows less heat than the 14.5% Viognier. It’s still there but this is rich and dense for sure but also playful and light at the same time. Very juicy, lovely freshness and as the wine opens it retains more freshness and the heat goes away. Marsanne handles alcohol much better than Viognier. Nose gets much more refined and elegant as it airs out and wow that finish is super long. Really well made. Teetering between 9.2 and 9.3 right now. I’ll see where air brings this .

100% Roussanne, 100% awesome. The weight is ridiculous. Acid is a bit diminished - would like to see more from St Joseph, but a really lovely wine. I need to plant more Roussanne.

100 Roussanne. Great texture, pure Roussanne character, fresh, round, nice bitter balance. Pales in comparison to his St Epine blanc but great qpr

Sylvain really killed the 2018’s. Big, ripe and rich nose, yellow fruits and waxey. Palate is ripe and rich but with lovely freshness and appealing bitterness. Juicy and lively with lovely energy, delineation and admirable purity. Good length. Superb depth on the nose after air. Really pure. Amazing freshness, concentration and depth. Good sap
