Seemed right for 🇨🇦 Thanksgiving bird. Took almost an hour to resolve with air, then a dark, brooding black-fruit and espresso ground nose with stemmy notes. Pure and focused, this was dominated by concise notes of dark oak, woodsy tannins and deep black and red fruit. Class in a glass.

Intense cherry note, good minerality, nice feel- for the richness and pronounced fruit, really integrated acid. Let it breathe.

Showing older than I expected. Firm Tannis and a slightly over ripe nose.

Aaaargh. A hint of barnyard refused to back down, assaulting an otherwise ethereal Echezeaux. Underneath the funk there was pure bright cherry, a light stemmy frame and the whole iron fist in velvet glove thing. 45 second finish.
