Fine syrah made by Maxime Graillot, son of legendary Alain Graillot, at the foothill of the Hermitage hill. Smooth and light, driven by berry fruit and minerality. Great intensity of taste. Unfortunately difficult to obtain in the Netherlands.

Sep 11th, 2016Colour: Slightly transparent; dark ruby – but not too dark.
Nose: Classical Northern Rhone peppery spices (black pepper), but not too much. Red fruit (strawberry, red cherry), quite fresh sensation... But also black berries, blueberries, violet notes, not too evident though. Northern Rhone style but not outstanding.
Palate: Medium-body, good tannic structure, but not too strong and a bit watery and subtle. A bit more meaty and peppery as it remains in the mouth.
