This had black cherry, cassis, and cocoa up front, with wood, leather, herbs, graphite, dust, and earth in the middle. It faded to pork fat in the finish. Smooth tannins stayed in the background. I would have rated this higher with a little more fruit. But it's a tasty and complex wine. It matched well with ratatouille and pasta.
