Mineral nose with pencil lead and a bit of nail polish too (even if that's not really mineral). A bright cherry lingers underneath. The palate is full pinot noir expression with lots of acids, a bright fruit, some tannins in the rear, a good granular texture with some kind of veil, and this fresh cherry all along and continuing very long in the finish. Some bitterness to on the rear. Very nice yet simple expression of pinot noir

Domaine Delaporte - Silex - pinot noir 2016

Nose of barnyard at first and a bright ripe cherry. Some graphite or pencil lead too. The barnyard is disturbing at first and it needs a quite some time to get away. The palate is yummy with lots of ripe cherry all.around the acid backbone. A strong grip on the sides and a bit of tannins in the end. The finish is yummy too with cherry again and a bit of salt/meat. Very nice all round wine as always with this producer.
