Brawny and tannic. This Bandol has many years ahead of it.

Slain animals and garrigue in a very elegant and delicious package. Damn!

Bandol hits my pleasure spot every time. Love them young, love then aged, whenever is fine with me. This is much more relaxed than previous bottle. Lovely deep black cherry fruit, sweet meat, fresh lavender, thyme, black licorice, smoke, candied olive, granite. There's this sweet and appealing aspect to the herbaceous notes in this, its so savory and alluring. I'm floored by the tannin profile right now and how vivacious they are.

Day 1: animal, beef blood, leather, black raspberries, blackberries, medicinal herbs. Wound up, rustic and firm tannins. In your face and brawny. Day 2: More black fruits showing, some cocoa tones, black licorice, violets, leather and meat. Texture is more voluminous and smooth. Day 3: everything has come together and showing well. Definitely needs more time in bottle but getting some air in there helps with all the reductive notes.

Far from being ready to drink. Good stuffing and substance with a great future ahead of it.

Ripe and tannic, but juicy with good acidity that gives it a sleek feel on the palate. Drinking well with years to spare.

Extreme tannins, leather, red fruit, hint of cinnamon. Too young at 7 years, could do well with another 20yrs in the cellar.
