Last of my hand-carried Rhône bottles from the mid-2000s. This one evolved well from the rough young version I had almost 15 years ago. On the nose, dried herbes de Provence, red fruits and some leather. In the mouth, darker fruits, leather, dried cherries. Some nice structure remaining, some tannins and acid. Medium-long finish. For a 20-some odd euro wine in 2006, really quite spectacular.
