Very much like Madeira but a touch more red-fruited and raisined. Dates, palm sugar, preserved plums and saffron on the palate. Nicely balanced and a superb deal.

Fairly oxidized. Smells just like brandy. Delicious! Perfect with a spice cake or gingerbread cookies.

one of the last producers of this style. never goes bad- keep a bottle open for years. their oldest *untouched* barrel is from 1919. this is minimum 4 years old, but mostly 10 year old.

Almonds, brown sugar, toffee, mango, and wait for it, banana peel. Forreal tho! 🍌
