Domaine de Piaugier
Gigondas Red Rhone Blend
Reminiscing a quick stop at Piauger while staying in Sablet last year. Always enjoyed this producer and we worked with their CDR when I was in retail a lot, but the tasting I had there really opened my eyes to the range of wines the Autran’s are making. This Gigondas is very authentic, soulful, and charming in its typicity and edge of seriousness (muscles). Airs of animal, ground coffee, smoked meat, crushed and dried herbs de Provence, muddled, wild black and red fruits, apricot, chalky minerality. 65 GR 20 MO 15 SY

Drank at L’Oustalet, Gigondas (Perrin/Beaucastel restaurant) for lunch, 10/5/19. Then, bought a bottle in Gigondas and drank it in Paradou with my bride of 41 years whom I love. Delish!
