Limoux Chardonnay

Super ripe fruit despite only a 13.5 abv. Lemon pith and meringue, and yellow flowers.

Quite lean (mandarine and lime peel) with a bit of caramel and nutty notes. Not a ton of complexity and a somewhat short finish, but enjoyable nonetheless

delicate aromas of hay, apple and some citrus waft over a very precise wine that has some creaminess, fresh apples and pears in the mouth, with firm, fresh acidity and good minerality to back it up.

Rich and textural chard from 2006, limoux. Great producers. Marie Claire and pierre worked for several years with didier daganeau in pouilly fume and have adopted similar philosophies.

Tonic chardonnay from 400 meters high in limoux. Incredibly fresh.

This was a crowd favorite of the night. People loved how disconnected the aroma and flavor were. Very interesting and nicely balanced

The nose is a bit oxydized, with some sour apple notes and some green apple in the rear. The palate is very acid driven, quite long with little matter. No formal notes

Floral and fresh. Continuing my white wine exploration this summer. Enjoyable.

Stone, flinty and dry.
