Dry, acidic, and mineral. The holy trinity of summer white wine. Drink it ice cold during your local heat wave.

JL Southern Rhone tasting 11/15/16. Aromatic nose of white flowers and fruits with citrus and acids and minerals. Good balance with firm structure and long acidic finish. Good value at $17.

After enjoying Bastille Days at Valentien last night, we were looking for a French Rhone blend to go with our dinner at home. This Mourchon Syrah Grenache was hiding in our cellar. It was a great find that Jeramy sold us at the last Tour de France wine dinner. Wonderful with Marcia's pork tenderloin and polenta! Dessert was some 72% chocolate from Belgium. Loving it.
