The 2009 vintage is luscious. It's smooth yet complex with a soft plum finish. It has wonderful "old world " style while not being as dry and tannic as some French red wines.

1 person found it helpfulDec 19th, 20142009 was a ripe vintage for CdP, for sure. Sophie and Catherine couldn't escape the candied cherry yet still manage to convey their sense of place. Bright fruit, fine tannins, dusty sandalwood and vibrant acidity always tell me "this is Marcoux." A pleasure to have this with my wife's pot roast on a cool fall night.
