Roussillon village level wines represent some of the best values anywhere. This one, from the Latour de France (1 of the 4 villages that are permitted to add their name to Côtes du Rhône Villages label), is an great example. Mostly Syrah for 2015.
Blackberry and raspberry sprinkled with dried spices and hint of violet. The palate is soft and warm with balancing acidity. Delicious long finish.

This has developed some dried fruits characters such as dates and prunes since I tasted this about 2 years ago. Big wine but soft and warm with ripe solving tannins.
In a lovely place now.

Very good and similar notes to 11 months ago. Needs more time to live up to the 95 pt WA rating.

Without a doubt one of the best red wines under $20 I've had in a long time. Smooth, soft, and supple, with plum and blackberry flavors. I have no idea why I tend to shy away from certain blends, as I sometimes do with GSMs, but I'm sure glad I picked this one up! I will be seeking more out like this one in the future! 65% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 13% Carignan, 7% Mourvèdre. 3/31/22.

Plum and BlackBerry aromas. More black fruit, charcoal, and tobacco notes on the palate. This is a 91 for today (Jan 21, 2021) as a pnp. Definitely needs more time. Not seeing the wine advocate 95pt rating yet...but recommend more time or a good decant.

Medium ruby. Roses, raspberry, cherry, sweet blossoms, raisin, charcoal, chocolate. Medium acidity, medium plus sugar, medium plus alcohol. So raisiny I thought it was a NW zin
