Domaine de la Tour du Bief
Moulin-à-Vent Gamay
This wine’s lovely bramble pallet and forest floor nose paired well with chicken bourguignon.

Jan 22nd, 2022Opened yesterday, tasted in 2 separate instances. It's showing cherry notes along with a floral note (violet), a bit of an earthy touch too. The palate is showing some acid drive, some volatile too, cherry notes and some width. There is a bit of savory note through and through, almost no tannins in the rear and a rather long cherry and earthy finish. It's rather concentrated and classical in style. Good not great.

Nov 17th, 2024Blackberry. Maybe dried raspberry. Smooth. Beautiful pairing with thanksgiving foods. Age on gamay. Very nice.

Nov 27th, 2021A really nice dark staining ruby with purple undertones and wide brim. The nose on this baby is so sexy and funky. Black cherry, licorice, and boysenberry starts the party off but underbrush and tobacco soon steal the show. A touch of rosemary and smoke compliment things nicely.
Moulin-à-vent, if you don’t know you better ask somebody. Home to some of the most of the most enjoyable bottles you’re not drinking enough of. Medium bodied with a terrific combination of both the rustic and the refined. Classic Beaujolais profile with spice and wonderfully racy acidity. The palate follows the nose closely with more dark fruits and pleasant funk. A certified banger. Drink anytime and for any reason.
