Beastly. Intense varietal character with game, olives & black fruit. Yum. Oak is integrated but this one is still stretching out. Great Syrah always hits me in the feels! Courtesy of Mike.

Resolving beautifully as it moves into some tertiary characters, but still grippy tannins. Delicious smokey meats and peppered plum sauce. 🔥

Compared with the '07 from a few months ago, this showed more precise balance and integration but less earthy Rhône funk. Deep and complex with guts to spare. Needed to scratch the Syrah itch; very satisfied.
