Last Friday was our normal 4th Friday happy hour at the storage facility, but since this month had 5 Fridays, why not keep the party going?!
The 2010 CdPs are killing it right now. The structure on this shows that it is just now beginning to start to climb towards its peak. Decadent chocolate, smoked meats, rhubarb pie. In 3-5 yrs, you could sip this through a straw!

2e fois avec ce vin, je constate qu’il cherche toujours sa personnalité, tout est ordinaire! Nez discret, en bouche tres fruits noirs, poivre blanc, légère amertume. Haute acidité. Pas certain de savoir ou il s’en va dans les prochaines années.

Yes! I’ve been waiting on this one since release. The 2010s have taken quite some time to reveal their potential. With this, now, it’s real magic. Nose is an essence of dark fruits with a light note of licorice. The wine combines lightness to the bold aromatics. In the glass, it’s one of the stronger and more balanced expression of the Reine des Bois I’ve yet to encounter. Bravo!

J’ai de la difficulté à cerner ce vin. Beaucoup de grosses notes... mais je n’y suis pas. M’est apparu lourd, tout d’un bloc. Manque de fraîcheur et de complexité. J’attendrai les autres bouteilles...
