Strongly aromatic - typical of many Mediterranean whites from warm climates. On the palate lemon pith with a waxy texture yet maintaining its refreshing acidity. Not particularly long but a lovely short term drink for summer from the Languedoc and great QPR at $24. Screw cap. Apparently Picpoul is known as the perfect oyster wine. The vineyards are down on the sandy coastal soils in view of the oyster leases.

Lean and clean. A little savoury and a little citrus with zippy acid and texture.

Bangin' Pinet, leaner than the Maris but still full salinity and racy acid
