Domaine de Grand Pré
Tidal Bay Annapolis Valley
Tart and crisp, pale gold in colour with lime citrus full-bodied flavour. Lightly astringent, the alcohol is nearly undetectable. Non-complex with a sour finish, but not at all unpleasant.
From the winemaker: A wine with unique character, TIDAL BAY brilliantly reflects its birthplace: the terroir, coastal breezes, cooler climate and our winemakers' world-class craftsmanship. It has a distinctive brightness in the glass. The nose is fresh yet complex. The palate is dryishly crisp, with a body and fullness that lingers with every sip. TIDAL BAY is the perfect complement to Nova Scotia seafood or to share with friends.

A couple of years ago when Nova Scotia wines made their debut here at the wine festival, I tasted a lot with mixed results and put away a few bottles. I opened this one not expecting too much, but it was amazingly refreshing alongside a plate of ravioli with a bacony tomato sauce. Tropical flavors. Full of life.

Sep 30th, 2018I don't like seafood but I knew this would be a great seafood wine and I ate a bit of cod for science and I can confirm that, as usual, I was right.

Jun 10th, 2018A new vintage!
The same floral nose and mouth-puckering acidity we've come to know and love. Give it some food otherwise it'll throw a little tantrum in your mouth.

A bit sweet but tasted better as the bottle sat
