This wine is very young and needs a few more years. Got much better after being open for a couple of days. My notes are from day 3...eye sees an oxidized magenta color moving toward white at rim, medium- viscosity, some staining. Nose is very unique and subtle- sweet tobacco, cinnamon, star anise, candied strawberries/fruit roll up. Super interesting! Palette sees bright dark cherries, cured meats, very damp and dark- long finish of medium complexity. Lots of heft and tannins left to let this sit- give it another 4 years!
