Dusty, stewy, earthy, ruddy with an old soul and connection to land. Wine that clearly has stories to tell but sits stoically and supportively by your side while you make vegetarian pasta alla vodka with the unlikely addition of chickpeas.

After noticing my last post was bottle # 999 on Delectable, I briefly thought I should make # 1000 be something exceptional. Then I remembered that I don't give a shit about faux-symbolic milestones, and the much more authentic, "on brand" thing to do is open some affordable Rhône.

Ripe but balanced red and black fruit turns to garrigue, charcuterie, leather and flinty silica. The understated but warm nature of grenache raised in concrete. Great value that was delicious with some homemade pizza. 🍒⛱️🥓

Easy patio Rhône blend with slate and red berry. Needs to aerate for a bit or it is pretty tight in body.
