So much beautiful texture. I haven't tried many yellow ones but this has been the best so far. Some Comte with this brings it home!

A seriously attractive pale amber bordering on gold in the glass with just a hint of light green flecks. Highly concentrated nose where the nutty goodness smacks you around first. Some lovely chamomile and pronounced oak aromas. Oxidative and all over the place aromatically, in the best way possible. There’s some more than welcome funk and cheese with light yeasty notes. Ginger and apricot begin to show after plenty of time in the glass and coming to room temperature.

Seductive and expressive as all hell, this has to go down as one of the most fun wines I can remember. Late harvest Savagnin aged for six years in oak barrels. It feels youthful and fresh and really just beginning it’s journey in life. The acid is present and welcome without being overbearing. So very dry and sexy in the mouth with just a bit of mushroom and walnuts. Pears and lemon rind with crusty bread. Terrific length with minerality and intense precision. A superbly interesting wine. One that I really can’t get enough of. Beautiful, beautiful stuff.

Beautiful Toffee notes and oxidized body with lemon acid body. Remarkable example of an unusual wine. Stunning honey yellow body and meadlike traits.
