If you open this now, open in the AM and decant for the day. Drank 1/4 of bottle last night, and this eve wine is far more accessible.

Extremely young. I am most likely underrating wine.

A tad austere and brawny, but I love the youthful vigor from these vines. The spirit of Vosne-Romanee is there.

Day one: Shy on the nose, with some floral elements (roses and violets). Day two: Bright, ripping whole-cluster aromatics! Laser beams of cranberry and herbs on the mid palate, beautiful finish without so much as a shadow of oak. This is pure, no-frills Burgundy fruit without compromise at the humble Bourgogne level. $27 Bottle Barn price- incredible value. Will drink well for easily another 5-7 years. Great play for your $- a modest price of admission for a relatively serious wine.

Bought these in 2, separate tranches: K&L for $16.99 & Premier Cru for $14.99. Both imported by Beaune Imports. Out performs many Bourgogne twice as expensive especially if you enjoy whole cluster character.

Spicy, savory, whole-cluster aromatics are promiscuous.

2004 is pretty darn good. All creosote and brick tannins in the mouth. True to the core.

First tranche from Premier Cru was $14.99; next tranche from K&L was $16.99; not even a whole cluster acolyte, and I continue to praise this wine as the QPR wine of vintage(and Passetoutgrains 2010 is remarkable as well).

A taste of Vosne on a budget. Structure and spice and everything nice.
